GGFC SUMMER FUN CAMP!!!
These camps are perfect for the young beginner ages 7-12.
We are offerering summer fun fencing camps the weeks of June 6 – 10 and June 13 – 17. Each week has a morning session and an afternoon session. The Morning sessions run from 9 – 12pm and the afternoon sessions run from 1-4pm.
Each session concentrates on teaching the FUNdamentals of fencing in a positive and fun filled manner. We do a variety of activities, games, fencing skills and bouting. Each student will come away from the camp with a solid understanding of the basics as fencing as well as have a great time. These camps are our most popular and we have received excellent feedback on them.

GGFC 2011 Summer Developmental Camp dates:
This camp will be ideal for the silver or gold level fencer or a fencer who is between the ages of 10 and 15 and who is interested in becoming a better fencer and competitor.
June 20th-24th from 9am-4pm. The cost for the camp will be $450 for the week.
Our camp will focus on the physical, technical and mental skills needed for a young fencer to take it to the next level competitively. We will focus on the following areas:
1. Creating a personalize training plan to use through out the year.
2. Introducing key sports psychology concepts and creating a mental training plan for each athlete.
3. Defining the tournament preparation process: how to prepare to compete.
4. Technical skills such as footwork and bladework.
5. Tactical concepts including the zone system, tactical wheels and decision making on the strip.
6. Bouting opportunities including team events and the strategy behind them.
7. Fun and games as always.
